2023 EEO Family Updates
By Jolie Money
2023 has held a lot of monumental moments for our EEO staff, so we couldn’t let the New Year arrive without celebrating these family updates! Take a look at these special occasions throughout this past year!
Our People:
Our Women’s Buyer, Amber, and her husband, Jacob Eldridge, were married in September.
Martha Hughes, EEO co-owner Susan Anderson’s mother and essential part of the Eagle Eye Outfitters story since 1998, retired from our accounting team after 16 years. |
Receiving Team Lead, Josiah Strowd, and his fiancée, Marty Gary, got engaged this October.
Our E-Commerce Support Supervisor, Blaine Lowery, got engaged to his fiancée Rachel Isbell in June. |
Head Cashier Ashley Peters, got engaged to her fiancé, Spencer Baxley, in September. |
Our Women’s Buyer, Savannah Barbour, and her husband Ryan, will be welcoming a baby boy in March 2024. |
Assistant Store Manager Emily Metcalf and her husband Zac, will be welcoming a baby girl in May 2024.
In August, our E-Commerce Product Listing Associate, Kaylee Cubbage, and her husband Kaleb, welcomed their daughter Naomi Ruth to the world. |
Our Store Manager, Rick Walz, his wife Lisa, and their family adopted their son Zackury in May.
Assistant Store Manager, Jeremy Ellison, and his wife, Katie, will be welcoming Baby Ellison to their family in 2024. |
In December, our Eagle Eye Family suffered a great loss in the passing of Alex Kontos. Alex was a cherished member of our sales team in the Men’s Department. We would like to celebrate his life and the impact he had on our company and team members. |
Our Company:
As 2023 rolled in, we welcomed a host of new brands to extend our offerings to our customers, one of the biggest being On, the running brand we have been asked for for YEARS! With the launch of On, it quickly became one of the biggest brands for our company.
But that was not the only new brand we had! In 2023, we welcomed several new shoe brands including Brooks, MOU, Oncept, and Ilse Jacobsen.
For women, we brought on the trendy Spanx, along with Dear John, Boody, Flag & Anthem, and Softies.
Our men’s department also saw a long-awaited brand arrive with Sitka, along with Duck Camp, Duck Head, Burlebo, and Old Row.
The hydration brand that took over the Internet also came to Eagle Eye this year! Stanley arrived just in time for Christmas, and it flew off our shelves!
While planning for this year’s Black Friday (which was our 25th Black Friday), we knew we wanted it to be bigger and better than ever! We decided that instead of giving out 500 of our famous goodie bags, we would give out 1,000. Not only did we reach that goal, but we had over 1,200 Car Campout Campers that stayed with us overnight for trivia, dancing, and giveaways throughout the night. This Black Friday was the single biggest day in Eagle Eye Outfitters HISTORY!
This year could not have gone as smoothly without our team members who work tirelessly to provide our customers with radical customer service. And, it could not have been done without you, the customer! Thank you for shopping small with us, and we cannot wait to see what 2024 has in store.
