Eagle Eye Donates to the Forever Wild Trail
By Susan
As a Grasstoots Outdoor Alliance (GOA) member, Patagonia gives us the opportunity to use 1% of our wholesale purchases each year (up to $5000) to award environmental grants to the organization of our choice. If you look on their merchandise tags, you can read about their 1% for the Planet initiative. Because of this iniative, Eagle Eye is donating their portion to the Forever Wild Trail.
In 2016, Eagle Eye awarded $5,000 to the Forever Wild Trail building project that the city of Dothan is currently working on between Flowers Chapel Rd & Fortner Street at the old waste water treatment plant. We have written and received several grants for this project over the last couple years from Patagonia & Columbia. Including this year, we now have secured funding for this project in excess of $20,000.
Below is the trail map. The one mile family loop was completed and opened Fall 2015. The other trails should be open by the end of this year.
At Eagle Eye, we serve our community through our “Circle of Service”. Three components make up this circle: Our Staff, Our Customers, and Our Community. We believe very strongly that people matter most. Our community is why we are here and why we are honored to support the growth of the Forever Wild Trails. See a need. Meet a need. The foundation of Eagle Eye Outfitters.
