Eagle Eye’s New Store Manager!

Finding someone to take on the role of Store Manager can be quite challenging. This individual is the face of a company and the person that manages not only processes but people. The role of a Store Manager here at Eagle Eye; however, is not necessarily to just “manage”. We desire for our Store Manager to develop and connect with our staff, as well as, build lasting relationships with our customers. This role is certainly not an easy one to fill and the journey leading up to this point has been extremely thorough. Despite all of that, we are delighted to announce that we have found the individual that we believe the Lord wants us to have to lead our company. We are excited to welcome Eagle Eye’s new Store Manager, Rick Walz, into the Eagle Eye family.

A Little Bit About Rick

Rick is no stranger to retail, as he has worked in the industry for 17 years. Some of the companies that he has worked with include Old Navy, Blockbuster, and Barnes & Noble. Rick has been in management for 12 years out of those 17 years in the retail industry. He graduated from Florida State University (FSU) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management. His time at FSU brought along some exciting internship opportunities. He interned with the FSU Seminole Athletics Marketing Team, the Pensacola Ice Pilots, and the Houston Texans. Later on, Rick received a Master’s Degree in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University. It is clear that Rick has had much experience and much success when it comes to management. Rick is also widely known for his gift with people. He has made many lasting impacts on the lives of those he has developed and trained in the past. People Matter Most, one of our core values at EEO, is one that Rick consistently displays.

Rick was originally raised in the Florida Panhandle, but moved to Dothan when a job opportunity with Barnes & Noble arose. He met his sweet wife here in Dothan, and they have been married for 10 years. Rick and his wife have 3 children together and have been active foster parents for 2 years now. Rick’s favorite verse from scripture is Psalm 37:23: “The steps of a man are established by the Lord, and He delights in His way.”

Rick says that when it comes to sports, the Lord blessed him with zero athletic ability; however, he roots hard for the Oakland Raiders, the Golden State Warriors, and of course, FSU.

All of us at Eagle Eye are incredibly excited to welcome Rick aboard!

We cannot wait to see the impact he will make on our staff, our customers, and our community through his new position. Be sure to stop by the store one day soon to meet Rick! Eagle Eye’s new Store Manager.
