What Should I Wear to the Fair?
By Kelley
Eagle Eye is the official outfitter of the National Peanut Festival (NPF). We are also the ticket sponsor and sell advance tickets before the NPF begins.
For many, attending the fair is close to an all-day and sometimes all-night event, with guests subject to varying weather conditions.
There’s nothing worse than being caught in a rain storm and having nothing with you to keep you dry. While having an umbrella is one way to shield yourself from the rain, having other types of rain gear such as waterproof shoes, jackets, and protective clothing will make enduring the harsh weather a much easier task.
Plan to be out in the sun for a day of rides and food? The outdoor area of the fairgrounds doesn’t always have a ton of shade, and the sun tends to beat down during the day, so we recommend sun protection: hats, sunblock, sunglasses, and clothing with UV blocking technology.
Do yourself a favor and wear a pair of comfortable tennis shoes or boots that you wouldn’t mind getting a bit dusty, muddy, or worse. Fair trips could involve a lot of walking and sometimes through rain puddles or mucky spaces, especially in the barns and areas around livestock.
Eagle Eye carries several new fall pieces that great fair essentials. Shop online or in-store to outfit yourself for a fun time at the National Peanut Festival in Dothan, AL.
